In Today’s Kim’s Adventure, we’re at Grapevine Mills in Grapevine Texas to visit Legoland Discovery Center, Peppa Pig World of Play and Sea Life Aquarium. Boasting over 180 stores in 1.8 million square feet of space, this Texas sized attraction is not only a shopper’s dream, but also a destination for all ages.
The Legoland Discovery Center is the smaller counterpart to the normal Legoland Resorts. Unlike the Resorts, the Discovery Center focuses more on building than rides, and is marketed as the Ultimate Indoor Playground. On the day that we went, a daily admission cost $24.99, Premium Experience $38.99 and an annual pass is $74.99. There are about 14 discover centers throughout North America and 27 locations worldwide.
Our next destination is to the Peppa Pig World of Play, an indoor play center specifically designed for preschool children. There are 14 themed areas to spark the imagination of your little piggies. With the Success from the inaugural Peppa pig world Shanghai, Dallas was the first location in the US, which opened in 2019. Peppa Pig is one of the U. K’s most influential exports who had her origins on British TV over 18 years ago. But since then, she’s become a global phenomenon, watched in 180 countries and translated into 40 languages. Parents have even complained that Peppa pig was giving their children British accents, they call it the Peppa effect. Hasbro later acquired the rights to the show on December 19, 2019, and has announced that the series would renew until 2027.
The show revolves around Peppa and all her family and friends, each episode being approximately 5 minutes long. The topics are about everyday activities such as swimming, visiting grandparents and going to the playground. The admission to Peppa Pig World of Play is $27.99 for a day pass and $99 for an Annual.
It was now time for our last stop of the day, SeaLife. Located right across from the Legoland discovery center, the aquarium has all forms of sea creatures from starfish to seahorses. The 45,000 square foot aquarium has more than 30 different displays featuring both exotic saltwater and freshwater animals. Admission to sea life starts at about $19.99.
