We set off on an exciting adventure to the Rogue Valley Family Fun Center, Southern Oregon’s top destination for family entertainment. Established in 1996, they opened their doors right after Thanksgiving, and the outdoor attractions quickly became a huge hit. A few months later, they completed the arcade building, and the center became a beloved spot for endless fun.
The Fun Center offers a wide range of thrilling activities, including a three-story soft play structure, over 70 state-of-the-art video games, go-karts, bumper boats, miniature golf, batting cages, and a full-service snack bar. I was particularly impressed by the charming old western town-style of the building, adding to the overall ambiance.
The excitement began with two 18-hole miniature golf courses. The troop leader even added a $40 incentive, spicing up the game and encouraging the kids to do their best. I witnessed true team-building spirit as the boys supported and motivated each other throughout the game.
Amidst all the positive energy, Dylan was struggling and let his frustration get the best of him. After finding his ball and having a heartfelt father-son pep talk, he regained his composure and began to enjoy the game, making impressive shots. When we finished the first round, the troop leader tallied the scores and rewarded the winner with a cash prize. It was a fun way to add a competitive edge, and the winner could now take charge of paying for the gas on our ride back home.
We then ventured inside to experience Southern Oregon’s biggest and best arcade, and watching the boys play reminded me of my childhood days, enjoying games like TMNT with my friends. Time truly came full circle. For younger ones, there was Cactus Jacks Playhouse, a three-story soft playhouse structure with slides, tunnels, web crawls, twists, tangles, and a toddler-only section. The admission prices were reasonable, with unlimited play costing $5 and $3.50 after 6 pm, for kids no taller than 56 inches.
The Rogue Family Fun Center is highly sought after for birthday parties, and reservations can be made from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm.
The highlight of the day was when the kids got to pick their prizes. Dylan opted for the giant clown glasses, a unique choice indeed. Although there were more attractions to explore, we ran out of time.
The adventure continued with the Northwest’s longest Go Kart Track, where we raced through straightaways and zoomed around corners. To cool off, we enjoyed the tropical-themed bumper boats, steering wheel equipped to shoot streams of water. For those keen on baseball, there were eight batting cages offering slow softballs to very fast baseballs, with helmets and bats provided.
Our father-son camping trip to Medford, Oregon, was a resounding success, and the following day, it was time to embark on our journey back to Los Angeles, cherishing the memories of an unforgettable time at the Rogue Valley Family Fun Center.
