In today’s thrilling Kim’s Adventure, we embarked on an exciting journey to Legoland California in Carlsbad. The radiant sun greeted us as we arrived, setting the stage for a perfect day of fun and adventure. The parking fees were $25 for regular vehicles and $35 for preferred parking and RVs.
The park officially opened at 10 am, but we were delighted to discover that guests were allowed in at 9 am. Before stepping into the magical world of Legoland, we made sure to download their app, as park maps were no longer provided in print. The app proved to be a valuable companion, helping us stay updated on showtimes and effortlessly navigate through the park’s attractions.
Our first ride of the day was the enchanting Coast Cruise. Marveling at the impressive Lego brick models was a sight to behold. Seeking some thrills, we ventured to the Lego Technic Rollercoaster for a heart-pounding experience.
Next on our list was the exhilarating Lego City Deep Sea Adventure. Though the line was a bit longer, Legoland had a thoughtful surprise for the kids – a convenient building station. This brilliant idea kept the children entertained, allowing parents to take a well-deserved break.
Close to the driving school, we discovered the Sky Patrol, an interactive ride offering a thrilling spin in a helicopter. Afterwards, we headed to the Kid Power Tower at Duplo Playtown. Scaling a rope to the sky provided a breathtaking view of the park, and releasing the rope made for a delightful ride back down. As the boys and I enjoyed ourselves, Ellie had a blast in her own little Lego town.
Our adventure continued as we explored Lego Movie World, a captivating two-acre zone based on the popular movie series. The landmarks were instantly recognizable, with Emmet’s Apartment Building serving as a meeting spot for fun encounters. Delicious homemade Asian cuisine awaited us at Everything is Ramen, and we couldn’t resist hopping aboard Benny’s Spaceship, a towering space-themed playground structure at the heart of Bricksburg.
Jen and the boys embarked on Emmet’s Flying Adventure, a thrilling experience inspired by the iconic flying double-decker couch featured in the film. They soared over vibrant and colorful “lands” like Middle Zealand, Cloud Cuckoo Land, and the Sister System.
With just a few hours remaining before the park closed, we made our way to the game space located near the 4D theater. The Lost Kingdom Adventure beckoned us for an exciting dark ride, where we skillfully shot various targets to earn points.
Our last adventure of the day was the exhilarating Bionic Blaster. To conclude our unforgettable day at Legoland, we immersed ourselves in the wonders of the Sea Life Aquarium, an interactive guide to the captivating world of marine life. Keep in mind that a separate admission was required for entry.
With hearts full of cherished memories, we bid farewell to Legoland California, grateful for an extraordinary day of joy and excitement.
