The Mt Shasta City Park has the famous headwaters of the Upper Sacramento River. People come from all over to collect the fresh water, which I’m sure has many health benefits. Unfortunately, we had to leave, but we made sure to stop by again on the way back. The Park Facilities include playgrounds, picnic areas, hiking trails and public buildings which are available for rent throughout the year.
