Zabriskie Point Death Valley

Zabriskie Point Death Valley

Before heading to our next destination, we made a quick stop to the Visitors Center so the boys could pick up their ranger badge. From the parking lot it’s a quarter mile hike to the overlook. Zabriskie Point was named in honor of Christian Zabriskie, vice president and general manager of the Pacific Coast Borax Company. It is the most photographed place in Death Valley and should be experienced at either sunrise or sunset. Most people stop here for a few minutes, but you can hike down to Gowers Gulch or Golden Canyon from the parking lot.
